Lifestyle

Hi,

I recently accompanied a friend and client to Sanoviv Medical Institute in Mexico to do their detox and rejuvenation program. I’ve been wanting to go there for sometime. My client asked me for a place where she could get total immersion in all the things we were working on related to diet and lifestyle. She had a recent cancer diagnosis and is focused on where she can maximize nutrition and feel good hormones, minimize toxicity and inflammation and prioritize her self care.

She said it was “life-changing… truly transformational”.

A trip to Sanoviv is “prioritizing self-care on steroids”.  Each and every room is a suite with a wide balcony and views of the Pacific Ocean. The food is fabulous, organic, fresh and nutritious. The place is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. The spa and bodywork were some of the best I’ve experienced. Six days were packed with everything from meetings with physicians, psychologists, biological dentists, chiropractors, lab work and ultrasound, as well as experiencing some of the most up-to-date therapies to calm the mind and heal the body. All the practitioners work together as a team in coordinating your care. We were able to share the lab work we’ve previously done and collaborate with our physicians for a personalized supplement routine.

When you arrive at Sanoviv, you are given organic cotton clothing to wear and leather sandals. You do not look or feel like you are in a hospital. Rather, you feel like you are in a luxurious medical spa wearing comfortable sweats.

What impressed me the most were the guests. I was blown away by their journeys and stories. Gary was one of the first guest patients I met. He walked up to me with a big grin and said, ” My name is Gary. What’s yours? Why are you here?”

In 2015, Gary was told he had terminal cancer. He was told that he could die at any moment and to go live his life the best he could. His physician at Sloane Kettering in New York City told him his metastatic tumor was inoperable. Shocked, he turned to the Internet, saw the photo of Sanoviv and said, ‘If I’m going to die, I want to die there.”

Within 48 days, they were able to shrink his tumor enough to do surgery.

Gary is proof that a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence but can be life-affirming and is definitely life-changing. How you deal with it makes all the difference.

He is an example of going from fear to faith by following his intuition and trusting his body’s ability to heal. His advice is to, “Ditch the fear and live your best life now.”

The body follows the mind. I am certain of this.  Conventional medicine is fantastic at treating symptoms and disease management. It is not focused on rebuilding your health, and no matter your chosen treatment, I believe it is imperative to work on rebuilding your health.

(email me if you would like to hear the rest of his story)

Contact me if you would like to hear about my interviews with Gary and others, or would like more information.

I welcome your comments and questions.

This  holiday season is about hope, love and joy. This is imperative for health and well-being and this is my wish for you.

Happy New Year,

Lisa Jackson
