Transformation does not happen in a vacuum. If the past couple of years have taught us anything, it is the importance of community.
You are never too old to learn something new, never too sick to heal, and never too old to change. We may try to tell ourselves these self-limiting beliefs like, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” My clients have proven otherwise!
So today, I thought I would share a few lessons learned from a community I’ve formed for those interested in creating sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes and perhaps even releasing a few extra pounds along the way. Here’s a little video I made after being so inspired by one of our group meetings and participants:
Here’s a few lessons learned from Living Younger Longer Metabolic Reset;
When we give our bodies what we need, we eat less and have more energy. Eating less has proven to lead to longevity.
It’s easier than you think. It’s surprising how satisfied we are eating less when we eat real unadulterated food. It’s not about dieting or deprivation. Food should be decadent, delicious and life-affirming.
Making small simple changes is sustainable!
It’s not about perfection. Practice not perfection. In fact, perfection is what keeps us stuck!
Groups are so very powerful and provide proof that we are not alone. We all have similar struggles. We all need inspiration, education and empowerment. Even when we know what to do, we still need motivation to keep us on track.
Our bodies really do heal when we can get out of our own way! It’s incredible how so many symptoms of dis-ease can melt away when we lower inflammation.
Success begets more success!
