If you are like me, you might easily spend money buying gifts for family, but find it harder to justify spending money on yourself.

Is this just me or a cultural norm for women? We learn to be self-sacrificing. The more I want something, the more I feel like I have to “justify” it.  This is especially true if it’s a “luxury” item or feels indulgent.

One thing I have learned not to skimp on is my health. I happily spend more money on organic food at the Farmers Market (sometimes LOTS more, like the organic Turkey Breast I served for Thanksgiving). I like to support the farmers who care for the animals, our planet and my health too.

So, after Black Friday Shopping for Family, today this is what I am buying for ME:

Here are some of my favorite ways to minimize toxicity in my personal care and household products as well as feel and look better.

Beauty Counter, I love and wear their makeup and they have some great holiday specials. I especially love their all-in-one mascara and lipsticks.  I also really like their shampoo, cream rinse and sunscreen.  Their products last and I am stocking up for my needs over the next several months, as well as some great gifts and stocking stuffers.

Pure Haven is where I buy cleaning supplies, like Master Blaster for stains and Surface Cleaner and Scrubbing Cleanser, as well as the best deodorant and dry shampoo, in my humble opinion.

They are 100% organic, non toxic and made in the USA and support entrepreneurship.

My grandchildren and I love their BooBoo Stick and parents will love their bundled Comfort oil and Headache stick, now on sale. I also love their Foot Therapy Cream and their Dream Cream. They have great skin care for babies and the whole family.
