Halloween Yoga Dance Class

Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. To me, it’s both permission and an excuse to play.

If you dare, join me on tomorrow, October 18th from 9-10am for my special annual Halloween Yoga Dance ClassYou must RSVP and costumes are encouraged, but not necessary!

Here are some of my favorite treats to give away on Halloween that both moms and kids may enjoy:

Some believe that Halloween was once a religious holiday based on faith, not fear. Similar to Dia de Muertos, it was a religious holiday based on faith to celebrate past loved ones. It is said that this day and night is when the veil is thinnest between this world and the afterworld, and if you put out treats you might be able to commune with the dead.  Hmmmm, where else have we seen fear used to squash faith and/ or try and control the masses? Food for thought.

I have faith in the body’s innate ability to heal from within.

Faith in your chosen health care providers and faith in your ability to heal is essential. Fear keeps you trapped in “fight or flight” or sympathetic overdrive. Fear is myopic, you cannot see the forest for the trees. You cannot see other options. Faith is essential to allow the body to heal through your parasympathetic nervous system.

Happy Halloween and Happy October. What you focus on is what you get. May you focus on health and well-being and the many ways to prevent and heal from even the scariest diagnoses.
