What do covid and cancer have in common? They are both wake-up calls. They are an opportunity for change.
Both are mired in fear.
Fear keeps us stuck. It’s paralyzing. Fear either pulls us down, (or it can motivate us to change). Fear is myopic. It narrows our focus and our vision. It is great if you are running from a saber-toothed tiger. It’s not so great if you want to heal and repair.
When we are in fear mode, we don’t always make the wisest decisions. We are more likely to give our power to others to heal us. We forget that we have an innate power to heal from within. We may even stop asking questions. We lose our ability to see other solutions. We can’t see the forest for the trees.
Third, we know that those with comorbidities, i.e. other diagnoses are more vulnerable. We know that those with inflammation and extra inflammatory fat, hypertension, insulin resistance and diabetes are at higher risk of death. These are diagnoses that can be changed! This is true for cancer and covid too.
Here is an article published in the National Library of Medicine by the National Institute of Health stating that Cancer is a Preventable Disease That Requires Major Lifestyle Change.
Viruses are ubiquitous. They are everywhere. It is not the virus that makes you ill. It is your reaction to the virus. We would not be alive today if it were not for viruses. Viruses talk to your RNA to enable you to adapt and survive in the environment. What is true for both cancer and covid is that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! So, how do you protect yourself? How do you get out of fear mode and into feeling fabulous once again?
